This is a fantastic piece of work!

My only problem: I can´t get the email function to work.

If I enter a emailadress where the doc says, I get an error after entering a email.

any hint for me?

It is a totally cool thing. But I got an issue. I am sure it is easy to answer for a JavaScript developer. What if I want it to count down, say, till December 1 2009. How do I set it that way? Is this kind of support included? Perhaps, I ask too much !? Thanks in advance!

If you want to countdown till December 1 2009,put -31 instead of the last 0,which is for the days.-31 because between 1st of december 2009 and 1st of january 2010 are 31 days.

Hi, yes is to Madalin, but actually it is for who needs the email form set up.
What I did is to set it up to be used with php and post method, minimal changes are needed and the php doc needs to be uploaded to the server with some minimal changes. Nothing too fancy is just email personalization and stuff like that.

Wow, amazing design – really like it.

the only thing I would change is the background-image – it’s to short for bigger browsers. May you repeat it down or make a heigher one.

After a but if woking out, I’ve realised that the js scipt for the timmer is not liked by SSL and comes in uncypted, however its being all pulled from a dedicated IP with correct SSL Cert. Any ideas why?

Hello, I tried to make it count from today until 2 months from now… here is what I modified:

this._defaults = {
until: new Date(2010, 5 – 1, 1, 0, 0, 0),
since: new Date(2010, 3 – 1, 1, 0, 0, 0),
……………

on the jquery.countdown.js file… however instead of counting down.. it is counting up… I’m sort of lost here.. anyone have a clue? not at all java knowledgeful here.. lol

Actually, no. The example you gave above does not work. The example you gave in the help file is very confusing, except for people who have programming experience. For anyone confused, to set a date to countdown to follow these steps:

1. Remove this line from, index.html:
austDay = new Date(austDay.getFullYear() + 2, 0, 0);

2. Enter your date in this line:
var austDay = new Date(insert date here using format below);

format: new Date(year, mth – 1, day, hr, min, sec)

so if you wanted to countdown till new years 2011, it would look like this, new Date(2011, 1 – 1, 0, 0, 0, 0)

I understand that the lines presented in the help file are pretty confusing.Here`s an elegant solution:

To set the countdown to the desired date,replace your lines from the top of the index.html with these ones:

$(function () {
var austDay = new Date(“July 30, 2011 00:00:00″);
$(‘#defaultCountdown’).
countdown({until: austDay, layout: ‘{dn} {dl}, {hn} {hl}, {mn} {ml}, and {sn} {sl}’});
$(‘#year’).text(austDay.getFullYear());
});

and it should work fine!

me tomé la molestia de arreglar
lo que hice fue dar un ajuste al Script,

$(‘#defaultCountdown’).countdown({until: (60*60*24)*7, layout: ‘{dn} Dias, {hn} Horas, {mn} Minutos, y {sn} Segundos.’});

});

en (60*60*24) = eso es UN DÍA
lo multiplico por 7 para que me resulte UNA SEMANA
tan solo ajusto cuantos días necesito.

es el valor 7 el que puedo modificar para dar 31 dias= 1 Mes, Etc.

I did a silly testing. I modified my local time (from my PC) to a future date then the counter stopped working. As it is actually on a basis of local time of the client computer. So I am wondering if we can set the counter according to a server-side timer.

Hi All,

Worked out why the email form wasn’t working, my PHP wasn’t enabled on my Control Panel. This may be why the form doesn’t work. Go to Website settings and click enable PHP V.5, hope it helps.
