“Digging Into Wordpress” Book by Chris Coyier and Jeff Starr

book-cover

Not long ago,Chris Coyier and Jeff Starr released their latest book, Digging Into Wordpress ,a truly Wordpress Bible. Are you asking why I named it “Bible”? Maybe that`s because it`s stuffed with everything you need to take your WordPress skills to the next level and really get the most out of WordPress,or maybe is because it has 400 Pages of Practical Information, from the first steps all the way trough the most deeper secrets of Wordpress.

Even if by blog doesn`t have many Wordpress related content, the entire website sits on a Wordpress platform and seems like it will never leave it.I`m a big fan of Wordpress and my opinion is that if you want to have one of the best possible blog ever, you should start reading the book immediately!

Authors

Digging Into Wordpress book is written by Chris Coyier(author of CSS-Tricks.com and member of the Envato team) and Jeff Starr(author of perishablepress.com), who are responsible for nearly 100 Wordpress sites manufactured.

I`m a big fan of them and I`m a daily reader of their blogs, because they know their job!

Things You Will Learn

  • How to get things set up right
  • Building themes and how they work
  • Keeping sites secure and optimized
  • Using WordPress as a CMS
  • Integrate things like Twitter and Delicious
  • Making the most out of WordPress

One of the most important part of the Digging Into Wordpress Book is chapter 8,Search Engine Optimization (SEO).This chapter will teach you everything you need to know about building solid SEO base for your blog. This is a sensible subject for all of us:How to make your blog SEO Friendly. Now,This book will tell you step by step with examples how to do this.

Format

The book comes in PDF Format for now but there will be a Printed Version in the near future. But there`s a great part regarding this:Everyone who purchases the PDF version of the book will receive a fair discount on the printed book when it’s released.

Another reason for which I love “Digging into Wordpress” is that the book layout is extremely well designed, which make it very pleasant to read. Seing a technology book with nice fonts and typography is quite rare. When you get an e-book,you`re expecting to see only black and white, that`s why e-books are considered to be ugly.Digging into Wordpress Book is the best example of exception that proves the rule.

A Lifetime Subscription

Buying the book gives you a lifetime subscription to the book. The authors intend to keep the book updated and add new content as time goes on. This won’t become a stagnant old outdated book. When they release a new version, you’ll automatically get an email to download the new version.Hey,that`s great!

Conclusion

Chris and Jeff have proven till now that they are truly Wordpress masters and Digging into Wordpress Book is meant to be the best Wordpress Book ever.

Even if you are an advanced Wordpresser, there`s something to be learned.

Digging into Wordpress Book is only $27 and with such a priceless content very well written in 400 pages, the purchase is a no brainer!

I Highly recommend the book!

Would be nice if I could sign up somewhere when the printed hard copy version will be available on Amazon in the UK.

I like that the book includes a free lifetime subscription to updates. Problem with most books about such topics is that they can get outdated real fast.
